The Global Commission on People-Centred Clean Energy Transitions brings together 30 government leaders, ministers and prominent thinkers.
Based on best practice from around the world, the Commission’s recommendations are meant to help ensure that clean energy policies and programmes of governments are inclusive, fair and affordable to all people. This includes designing clean energy policies to maximise the creation of decent jobs, assisting communities as they transition, enhancing social and economic development, promoting equity and fairness, and encouraging the role of people as active participants.
The recommendations will be launched at the occasion of the Third Meeting of the Global Commission. In this high level ministerial meeting, members will expand upon and illustrate the points made in the recommendations through tangible best practice examples.
This high level meeting will be publicly livestreamed in English, French and Spanish on the day of the event on this page.
