NOM-163-SEMARNAT-ENER-SCFI-2013 - Light Duty Vehicles CO2 Emission Standards

Mexico established a regulation to increase fuel efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in light vehicles. The standards regulates carbon dioxide emissions from new motor vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of up to 3,857 kilograms and the equivalence in terms of fuel efficiency. It aims to achieve 13% reduction in fuel consumption in 2016 compared to the 2011 baseline.
