The focus of the Energy Policy was the security of energy supplies to ensure economic sustainability and the efficient use of energy. The policy encouraged the environmentally and economically sustainable provision and use of energy. It aimed to promote energy conservation practices as well as the proper utilisation of renewable energy resources and technologies.
