The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Chile-EFTA Free Trade Agreement

The Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Chile and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) (Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland), entered into force in December 2004. 

The Agreement provides for partial or total elimination of import tariffs, notably for the following products: 

  • Agglomerated and reduced iron;
  • Alumina, scrap metal, ammonia;
  • Crude steel, aluminium;
  • Nitrogen fertilizers;
  • Solar PV modules, solar cells, solar wafers;
  • Polysilicon, battery packs, battery cells;
  • Anodes and cathodes;
  • Electrolysers, heat pumps;
  • Electric vehicles, ICE cars;


Rules of origin delineated in the Agreement include provisions preventing goods only undergoing minimal transformations in one of the signatory countries, as well as good incorporating non-originating materials valued above 10 per cent of their ex-works price to benefit from preferential tariff treatment.
