Biomethane Action Plan

Portugal's Biomethane Action Plan aims at the promotion of production and consumption and the simplification of the legal and regulatory framework for renewable energy projects. Additionally, the framework will cover initiatives on the electrical and environmental licensing of renewable energy and storage projects, with a particular focus on go-to-areas.  By the Order 1604/2025, the Monitoring and Coordination Group for the Biogas Action Plan (GAC-PAB) is created with the objective of monitoring and coordinating its implementation.
