Energy Efficiency Program in Public Buildings - PROCEL EPP

This Programme aims at reducing electricity consumption in buildings at the federal, state, and municipal levels. Conservation is promoted by disseminating efficient technologies in areas including lighting and HVAC systems. Initially, various energy analyses are completed to identify areas where demand reduction is possible. These analyses are followed by small pilot projects which have potential for replication on a large scale. Supplementary activities include education programmes and outreach, training, and cross-sectoral partnerships.
