Green Innovation Fund - Hydrogen

As part of the Green Innovation Fund, funding scope was created to fund hydrogen-related projects as follows: 

• Up to 300 billion yen is set aside to develop a large-scale hydrogen supply chain and to create sufficient demand for hydrogen. The project focuses on developing the transport and liquefaction technologies and hydrogen combustion demonstration project.
• Up to 70.83 billion yen is set aside for the development of hydrogen production through water electrolysis using renewable power. Beside production technology development, the funding also include scope for technology demonstration. 
• Up to 449.9 billion yen is set aside to develop the capabilities of hydrogen utilisation in iron and steel making industries.
