SACUM-United Kingdom Economic Partnership Agreement
The Agreement between the Southern Africa Customs Union (SACU) and the United Kingdom entered into force on January 2021.The agreement provides preferential border tariff treatment to most industrial products including : Agglomerated and reduced ironAlumina and Scrap metal Ammonia and Crude steel Nitrogen fertilisers Solar PV modules and Solar cells Solar wafers Polysilicon Battery packs and cells Electrolysers and Heat pumps Rules of origin delineated in the Agreement include provisions preventing goods only undergoing minimal transformations in one of the signatory countries or incorporating materials of external origin which total value exceeds 15 per cent of the ex–works price of the product to benefit from preferential tariff…

Biofuels Industrial Strategy
The Biofuels Industrial Strategy presents South Africa's approach to policies, regulations and incentives concerning the uptake of biofuels. It identifies poverty alleviation and economic development as crucial, and acknowledges the role of biofuels in contributing towards the achievement of the country’s renewable energy goals, energy security and the reduction of GHG emissions. The strategy targets a biofuels market penetration of 2% of liquid road transport fuels by 2013.The South African Biofuels Regulatory Framework (2020) was approved to provide a policy and regulatory framework for the said strategy implementation.

Southeast Asia Energy Outlook 2026 Energy outlook to 2050 based on today’s policy settings
Southeast Asia becomes one of the main engines of global energy demand growth under today’s policy settings. In the Stated Policies Scenario, the region contributes around 20% of the increase in global energy demand to 2035, supported by sustained economic expansion, rapid electrification and its growing role as a global manufacturing hub. Clean energy expands, but not fast enough to displace fossil fuels. In the STEPS, clean energy meets over 40% of incremental demand growth to 2035, while fossil fuels still meet around 60%.
