                France - Netherlands Joint Declaration 2023

                In the second round of Dutch-French government consultations, representatives of the two governments released this statement signalling their joint commitment to increasing energy security and sustainability in the European Union and to reducing dependence on critical minerals.                 "France 2030 investment Plan"- Critical minerals investment

                As part of the France 2030 investment plan, the French government will dedicate EUR 500 million to foster domestic industry resilience to metal supply chain disturbances, partly through a dedicated investment fund.

                "France 2030" Investment Plan- Hydrogen sector funding

                An additional funding of EUR 1.9 billion has been earmarked for the hydrogen sector in the framework of the France 2030 investment plan. The funding will go towards the development of decarbonized hydrogen technologies, in line with France's ambition to become a leader in green hydrogen production, and decarbonize its industry sector.

                "France 2030 investment Plan"- Investment in renewable energy innovation

                As part of the France 2030 national investment plan, the French government will invest EUR 1 billion in renewable energy innovation projects. The eventual aim is to increase the renewable power installed capacity by ten times by 2050, up to 100 GW. Offshore wind farms will represent 40 GW of this installed capacity.In March 2022, the French Prime Minister announced the launch of two floating wind farm projects in the Mediterranean coast of metropolitan France.                 "France 2030" Investment Plan

                France 2030 is a national investment plan endowed with EUR 34 billion, which includes EUR 30 billion in subsidies and EUR 4 billion in funding schemes to be deployed over 5 years. EUR 3.5 billion are allocated for the year 2022, of which EUR 2.84 billion in grants and EUR 0.66 billion in equity investments.                 France’s “MaPrimeRénov” Programme

                …date for energy efficient building retrofits, amounting to EUR 570 million. Despite the Covid crisis, more than 140 000 MaPrimeRénov’ grants were delivered that year. Since 1 January 2021, the tax credit is no longer available and MaPrimeRénov has been extended thanks to the France Relance plan for all homeowners and landlords, including co-owners in collective buildings. The grant can now also cover part of the cost of a renovation consultant; bonuses were created to incentivise higher energy-efficient renovations.                 "France 2030" Investment Plan- Heavy industry decarbonisation investment

                As part of the France 2030 national investment plan, the French government will invest EUR 5.6 billion to reduce the CO2 emissions of domestic heavy industries, such as the steel, cement and aluminium sectors.This includes: EUR 610 million for innovation and clean technology deployment for industriesEUR 5 billion for direct support of decarbonization solutions for industrial sites, notably hydrogen or carbon capture.

                "France 2030" investment plan- Clean transport investment

                In the framework of the France 2030 investment plan, the French government will invest EUR 2.5 billion to support the production of nearly two million electric and hybrid vehicles and EUR 1.2 billion on R&D activities aiming at developing a low-carbon airplane. On 17th of March 2022, the Government announced the opening of a call for projects to support the deployment of high power charging stations for electric vehicles.
