IEA Guide to Reporting Energy Technology RD&D Budgets

Overview The Global Energy and Climate Model (GEC Model) uses macro drivers, techno-economic inputs and policies as input data to design and calculate the scenarios. National Climate Resilience Assessment for Algeria
…lengthy and intense heatwaves: Between 2000 and 2023, cooling degree days (CDDs) increased at a rate of more than 100 degree days per decade, while heating degree days (HDDs) decreased by around 70 degree days per decade, significantly driving up cooling needs. For cars and vans, increasing fuel efficiency standards is important as even in the Net Zero Emissions by 2050 Scenario, nearly 80% of cars and vans on the road in 2030 are still powered with internal combustion engines. Sales of heavier, less efficient SUVs reached around 46% of global sales in 2022, while electric vehicles were just 14% of sales.
