Methane Action Plan
The Finnish government submitted their National Methane Action Plan to the Climate & Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) in April 2022. The Plan reviews the current state of methane emissions in the country as well as existing international and national policy measures that apply to methane. The document is organised around five building blocks: Inventories: The Methane Emissions Profile of Finland demonstrates emission trends in 4 sectors: agriculture (49%), waste (31%), land use, land use change and forestry (LULUCF) (15%) and energy (5%).
