Jad Mouawad
Former Head of the Communication and Digital Office. Jad Mouawad (@jadmouawad) was appointed as head of the IEA’s Communication and Digital Office in September 2019. He oversees the IEA’s public and media relations, digital and social media strategy, publications, product strategy and sales, and is responsible for the IEA’s digitalization initiative. He joined the IEA in 2016, as head of the news, information and multimedia unit. A reporter for nearly two decades, he previously worked for The New York Times where he covered the global energy industry, airlines and transportation.

Leandro Andrade is the director of the Department of Information, Studies and Energy Efficiency at the National Secretary of Energy Transition and Planning of the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Brazil. He coordinates energy data, planning studies and energy efficiency activities of Brazil in cooperation with other important institutions of Brazil, such as ENBPar, ANEEL, EPE, among others. The main activities of the department in energy efficiency area relate to PROCEL program and MEPS policies. Before joining MME, Leandro worked at EPE in the generation planning, modeling and regulation area.

Diane Cameron is Head of the Nuclear Technology Development and Economics Division at the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA). In her role at the NEA, she leads an expert team of economists and scientists that supports energy policy and nuclear energy policy development among NEA Member Countries by advancing evidence-based, authoritative assessments and analyses in the areas of nuclear economics, financing, and cost reduction, as well as nuclear technology, innovation, and the fuel cycle.

Nick Johnstone
Chief Statistician. Nick Johnstone took up his duties as Chief Statistician and Head of the Energy Data Centre in February 2019. Previously he provided support to the work of the Committee on Industry, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) in the Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation at the OECD. He began his career at the OECD 1999, taking up the position of Head of the Empirical Policy Analysis Unit in the Environment Directorate. He previously held positions as a Research Associate at the International Institute for Environment and Development, and as a Research Officer at the Department of Applied Economics of the University of Cambridge. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Cambridge (UK), and has published widely in leading journals in the areas of energy, innovation, and environmental economics.

Head of Renewable Integration and Secure Electricity. Pablo Hevia-Koch is the Head of Renewable Integration and Secure Electricity at the International Energy Agency (IEA). In this role, he oversees work on integration of renewables in power systems, electricity security, power grids, and electricity market design, focused on both emerging and established economies. An electrical engineer by training, he holds a Ph.D. in Energy Economics from the Technical University of Denmark.
