Incentives for Taxi fleet decarbonisation - Notice No. 1/2019
The Notice No. 1/2019 establishes the terms and conditions to support the decarbonization of the taxi fleet in Portugal through the "Public Transport Service Fund".
5000 euros are granted for the purchase of a new 100% electric vehicle whose first registration was made on behalf of the beneficiary.
Only full-electric vehicles are eligible for the financial incentive given by the Notice No. 1/2019. The support may increase if the beneficiary delivers a used taxi with a valid transit permit during the last 3 years and with a minimum of 20.000 km traveled in the last year… -

MOBI.E Programme - Charging Network implementation - Resolution No 49/2016
Resolution No 49/2016 establishes the 1st and 2nd Phases of the MOBI.E Pilot Network, which is intended to massify the use of electric vehicles in Portugal. The resolution includes:
1. Consider as the 1st phase of the MOBI.E Pilot programme a network composed of 1200 normal charging points and 50 fast charging points, covering 76 municipalities and serving a population of 5.9 million.
2. Complete the first phase of the MOBI.E Pilot Network with the installation of 124 standard charging points and 50 additional fast charging points, available for installation since May 2016.

Energy Efficiency and Endogenous Energies (E4) Programme
The former E4 Programme (Energy Efficiency and Endogenous Energies) launched in 2001, established goals concerning the exploitation of renewable energy sources (RES) for power (and thermal) generation, which were consistent with the EU Directive on renewable electricity (2001/77/CE), under which Portugal has to aim to deliver 39 % (including large hydro) of its gross electricity consumption by 2010. Tax Incentives
The Ministry of Finance is directing favourable taxation towards private investors who get tax credits for investing in renewable energy (personal income tax) to stimulate investment in renewable energy technologies. The lower VAT rates of 5% (versus 12%) applied for renewables in Portugal are no longer in force due to the European fiscal harmonisation of 2002.
