Measures related to the situation in Ukraine
In 2022, Switzerland implemented sanctions similar to those enacted by the European Union against Russia and Belarus. Lignite and coal imports from Russia are banned, as well as Swiss exports to Russia of intermediary industrial products as robots and certain chemicals. In addition, public financial support for entities owned or controlled by the Russian State is prohibited, as well as trust registration in Switzerland on behalf of Russian nationals or natural or legal persons established in Russia.

This law encourages energy efficiency by setting standards for policy enforcement as well as regulations and guidelines for conservation and efficiency measures throughout Russia.
