                Investments for household energy efficiency

Over 44 million GBP of funding will be allocated to cut emissions from buildings and help households save on energy bills. The investment is expected to cut carbon emissions by 22% for homes and buildings, whilst providing potential reductions of up to 15% in energy costs.  30 million GBP will fund 3 innovative heat network projects in London, Manchester and Cambridgeshire, and a further 14.6 million GBP announced will benefit 11 projects in England, Scotland and Wales. The funding will be invested in exploring ways the UK can develop and use efficient, low-carbon technologies for heating and cooling…

This standard establishes the minimum thermal efficiency levels of the upper burners, as well as the maintenance consumption of the oven, of domestic appliances for cooking food that uses LP gas or natural gas.
The thermal efficiency of the burners of the upper section can not be less than: 45% for burners with thermal capacity up to 11,500 kJ/h; and 30% for burners with thermal capacity greater than 11,500 kJ/h.
The maintenance consumption of the oven must not be greater than the value obtained by the formula Ce = 0.93 + 0.035*V where "Ce…

In 2006, Hungary passed Decree No. 7/2006. (V. 24.) TNM on the establishment of energy characteristics of buildings, thereby transposing portions of the EU Directive on the Energy Performance of Buildings. In particular, this decree coversthe first three of the five main areas contained in the directive. The decree: - elaborated a national methodology for calculating the integrated energy efficiency of buildings; - established minimum requirements for the energy efficiency of new buildings with a surface area of over 1000m2; - established minimum requirements for large existing buildings (with a surface area of more than 1000 m2) regarding their energy performance in…

The "Programme National dAmélioration de l'Efficacité Energétique" (PNAEE) was announced by the French government in December 2000. The programme is a complement to the National Communication on Climate Change. It aims to mobilise all households, small businesses and local government to act on energy saving. It allows for the creation of a network of information on energy efficiency and the development of a media campaign. It includes a number of measures to improve energy efficiency of transport, construction, industry and renewable energy.
