Energy Saving and Efficiency Plan 2008-11
…or 47 million barrels per year over four years. The new plan will cover the transport, industrial, residential, tertiary and agricultural sectors. Measures follow four lines of action: transversal measures, mobility, buildings and energy savings. Transversal measures: -Encouraging the development of Energy Service Companies (ESCOs), through ensuring legal protection of these companies, providing financing and offering public contracts; -Giving an advantage to certified energy companies (those with a certificate issued by Spains standardisation and certification organisation AENOR) in public contracts; - Doubling the budget for the governments Institute for Energy Saving and Diversification (IDEA) to EUR 120 million in order to…

RD&D Programmes
…the Austrian Programme on Technologies for Sustainable Development, developed by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT), there are some energy related activities for transport. For example, some 7 million Euros will be spent in the new A3-Technology Programme (Austrian Advanced Automotive Technology) for new propulsion systems, energy efficient auxiliary devices and alternative fuels. The programme "MOVE -- Mobility and Transport Technology" promotes research and development projects in the field of transport and mobility by funding demonstration projects capable to trigger innovation in the transport system. For this programme, about 2.9 million Euros are budgeted annually.

Climate and Energy Fund
…With its funding programmes for research, development and market penetration, it provides broad-based solutions that protect the climate and benefit the location. The Climate Fund supports actions taken in the areas of buildings, mobility, production and energy supply that focus specifically on sectors that are currently responsible for most of the greenhouse gas emissions. The Climate Fund contributes essentially towards building the necessary scientific foundations of climate protection that form the sound basis for the development of a sustainable future. The Climate Fund's promotional programme helps to implement new and innovative funding frameworks, adds to existing subsidy schemes…

EVE - Electric Vehicle Systems
EVE was a five-year programme for supporting piloting, testing and demonstration projects for electric vehicles between 2011-2015 managed by the Finnish public innovation agency Business Finland (formerly called Tekes). The programme was launched in context of slow electric vehicle development in Finland compared with other Nordic countries and had the goal of creating an electric mobility ecosystem and international business opportunities. Five research consortia were formed during the programme that focused on electric passenger traffic and services, electric commercial vehicles (ECV), testing services for EVs (EVELINA), testing environments for EVs (WintEVE) and ecological urban living. As a result…
