Mongolia renewable energy feed-in tariff
Mongolia’s feed-in tariff for the renewable energy power production is primarily regulated by country’s Renewable Energy Law enacted in 2007. The tariff prices are reported in ranges within which power purchase agreements can be negotiated and signed with the National Dispatch Center. Tariffs are outlined in the USD currency however they are paid out in the Mongolian local currency. Feed-in tariffs are granted for a period of 10 years for all technologies.

Mongolia State Policy on Energy 2015-2030
In 2015 government of Mongolia adopted the State Policy on Energy for 2015-2030 periods. The main objectives of the policy are to build the energy security of the country, assure sustainability of the energy sector development and create the basis for faster deployment of renewables in the future.
The Policy establishes interim and final goals in two stages:

The Inner Monglia Energy Bureau plans to cordinate green markets within/outside the region, starting from pilot H2 pipeline projects as a near term step, to create a comprehensive network through optimized pipeline layout, and smart dispatch systems, and peak shaving storage such as fixed H2 tanks and underground caverns.

Inner Mongolia 6th provincial Hydrogen Development Plan
China’s northern province Inner Mongolia established two critical hydrogen policies – a Hydrogen Industry 14th Five-Year Plan and a Hydrogen Industry Development Execution Plan, aiming to take a leading position in China’s embryonic green hydrogen sector.
The two policies outline the ambition to build a green hydrogen production base in the province totalling 0.5 million tons per year renewable hydrogen production capacity, 100 refuelling stations, and 5000 fuel cell heavy-duty trucks by the end of 2025.
