Building-level Electricity Access and Demand Model
A tool to estimating electricity access and demand at the building level in Sub-Saharan Africa. The Building-level Electricity Access and Demand Model is an open-source model developed through a collaboration between the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). IEA Electricity Access Data Collection Template
The Guidebook has been released alongside the IEA’s template for collecting access to electricity data from governments, which includes step-by-step instructions for how to process the data and process them into relevant access indicators. The template can be adapted for use as the foundation for countries in their own collection efforts.
