Former Head of the Communication and Digital Office. Jad Mouawad (@jadmouawad) was appointed as head of the IEA’s Communication and Digital Office in September 2019. He oversees the IEA’s public and media relations, digital and social media strategy, publications, product strategy and sales, and is responsible for the IEA’s digitalization initiative. He joined the IEA in 2016, as head of the news, information and multimedia unit. A reporter for nearly two decades, he previously worked for The New York Times where he covered the global energy industry, airlines and transportation.

Pablo Hevia-Koch
Head of Renewable Integration and Secure Electricity. Pablo Hevia-Koch is the Head of Renewable Integration and Secure Electricity at the International Energy Agency (IEA). In this role, he oversees work on integration of renewables in power systems, electricity security, power grids, and electricity market design, focused on both emerging and established economies. An electrical engineer by training, he holds a Ph.D. in Energy Economics from the Technical University of Denmark.

Peter Zeniewski
Senior Energy Analyst. Dr. Peter Zeniewski is a Senior Energy Analyst at the IEA. His main area of focus is the outlook for natural gas and LNG – covering long-term assessments of supply, demand, trade, investment and pricing. He has also led projects on energy affordability, biogases, India’s energy outlook, and emissions from oil and gas supply. Prior to joining the IEA, Peter was a Chancellor’s Fellow at the University of Edinburgh and held positions at the European Commission and Wood Mackenzie. He holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Oxford.

The project focusses on policy interventions to support Government of Uganda in creating an enabling framework in energy sector, promotion of uptake of renewable energy and energy efficiency with private sector, capacity building interventions for public & private sector and inclusion of energy aspects in planning processes for districts.Merab has over 10 years’ experience in implementation of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and climate projects with government, private sector, academia and development partners.
