Act on the Promotion of Renewable fuels in Transport (446/2007)

The annual minimum share of renewable fuels in road transport delivered for consumption shall increase gradually to 34% by 2030 (no double counting). The amended act enables inclusion of renewable electricity delivered at public charging stations and limited amount of emission savings from projects in effort sharing and LULUCF sector (flexibility mechanism) in the quota. The act includes also an adjustment of the required shares of advanced biofuels and new minimum shares for renewable fuels of non-biological origin.
