World Leaders Summit at COP30: Energy Transition Session

Paris time: 15:00-16:30
At the Belém Climate Summit on 6–7 November, Heads of State, Governments, and International Organizations will provide high-level political direction ahead of COP30. The session on energy transition will focus on scaling up sustainable fuels, expanding grids and storage, and tackling energy poverty through clean cooking. Discussions will build momentum around the Belém 4X Pledge on Sustainable Fuels and other global initiatives to accelerate just and inclusive energy transitions. IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol will participate in this session, highlighting the Agency’s role in supporting countries to deliver on these goals.
