Background information
Energy Efficiency 2025, the latest edition of the IEA’s annual analysis on energy efficiency, will explore recent global trends in energy intensity, demand, investment, policy and technology.
It will be launched in parallel with an update to the IEA Energy Efficiency Progress Tracker, which assesses progress towards the target set at COP28 in Dubai of doubling the global average annual rate of energy efficiency improvements by 2030.
