IEA Energy Innovation Forum 2027

The fourth edition of this invitation-only event will be co-hosted by the Government of Austria and the International Energy Agency (IEA) with the theme of “Technologies for energy security and competitiveness.”

Recent energy disruptions have reinforced the importance of innovation in strengthening energy security and economic competitiveness. The Forum will bring together ministers, senior government officials, corporate leaders, investors, innovators and researchers to discuss how technology, policy and international collaboration can help build more resilient energy systems and accelerate progress in areas such as electrification, energy efficiency, networks and domestic energy resources. 

Building on the success of previous editions, the Forum will provide a unique platform for high-level dialogue, partnership building and knowledge exchange across the global energy innovation community. Additional workshops, networking activities and site visits are anticipated on 5 and 7 April 2027, with further details to be announced in the coming months.
