12th Annual Global Conference on Energy Efficiency
Add to calendar
The IEA’s 12th Annual Global Conference on Energy Efficiency will convene senior representatives from government, business and finance, alongside thought leaders from around the world. This year’s Global Conference builds on the success of those that took place over the last few years in Versailles, Nairobi, Brussels and Montreal – each of which brought together around 600 participants from some 100 countries.
The conference comes during a critical period for the energy sector, as countries reassess their energy strategies amid renewed pressures on energy security and affordability. This year’s Strait of Hormuz crisis, on top of the 2022 crisis linked to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, have again highlighted the exposure of consumers and economies to energy market volatility.
Against this backdrop, improvements in energy efficiency offer countries a powerful way to reduce exposure to market volatility, bring down energy bills and strengthen resilience – while bolstering energy security and industrial competitiveness.
These issues will be at the heart of discussions, through high-level panels, thematic sessions and a ministerial roundtable. The conference, which will be held in Dublin in May 2027, will also place strong emphasis on connection and collaboration, offering networking opportunities across the two days to accelerate progress on energy efficiency across the globe.
