                Anhui Provincial Subsidy on New Energy Vehicles and Fuel Cell Vehicles 2024

                Anhui Provincial Department of Finance has released its budget for supporting New Energy Vehicle (NEV)s and fuel cell vehicles. These funds originate from the central government's budget.

                Trade-in subsidy programme

                The Chinese government released its budget for cars trade-in subsidies. New vehicles, that satisfy the set emissions requirement, would be eligible for subsidies.    One-time fixed amount of subsidy of between 7,000 - 10,000 yuan would be made available to consumers who scrap fuel passenger cars with emission standards of National III or below or passenger cars registered before April 30, 2018 and purchase new energy passenger cars or fuel passenger cars that are included in the "Catalogue of New Energy Vehicle Models for Vehicle Purchase Tax Reduction and Exemption".

                Renewable Energy Electricity Subsidy

                The Chinese government earmarked subsidies for renewable electricity generation (wind, solar and biomass) provided to local public utilities and power generation companies.

                Stationary Fuel Cell Subsidy Programme

                The government provides subsidies to support the installation of stationary fuel cell power generation systems, promoting the deployment and commercialisation of hydrogen-based energy technologies. The programme supports organisations installing fuel cell systems (typically 1 kW to 2 MW), aiming to expand distributed generation and accelerate hydrogen energy adoption. The subsidy for each installation ranges from NT$50,000/kW to NT$70,000/kW.

                Oil Fund - diesel subsidy rise

                The Fuel Fund Management Committee, which continuously manages the Oil fund to maintain fuel prices affordable, increased the diesel subsidy to 20.36 baht per liter, up from 18.31 baht before the announcement.

                Direct Fuel Subsidy Programme

                The Venezuelan government introduced a direct fuel subsidy system administered through the Patria digital platform, allowing registered citizens to purchase a limited monthly quota of gasoline at subsidised prices. The programme provides 120 litres per month for private vehicles and 60 litres for motorcycles, while public transport receives a full subsidy. The policy aims to maintain affordable access to fuel while limiting smuggling and excessive consumption.

                2022 fuel subsidy

                In order to protect consumers from the effect of the international energy price crisis, the Tanzanian government implemented a subsidy on petroleum products from 1 June 2022, budgeted at TZS 100 billion . The set up of a fuel price stabilisation fund is also announced.

                HRS and truck subsidy

                The government issued a public consultation on a subsidy for HRS and transport by truck, that would cover up to 40% of the HRS CAPEX (up to EUR 2 million), up to 80% of the eligible costs of the trucks (up to EUR 3 million per application) and variable caps depending on the vehicle category. The total budget is EUR 150 million (USD 163 million) for 2024-2026 and it is expected to trigger the construction of at least 40 HRS
