Australian Clean Hydrogen Trade Program (ACHTP)
The Australian government is supporting the Australian Clean Hydrogen Trade Program (ACHTP) funded with AUD 150 million. The program will support investments in clean hydrogen technologies. The first round is centred on exporting clean hydrogen to Japan, under the Japan-Australia partnership on Decarbonisation through Technology signed in June 2021. The Program will be funded over five years from the $565.8 million committed for low emissions technology international partnerships in the 2021-22 Budget.

Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA)
ARENA is an independent agency established by the Australian Government on 1 July 2012 to improve the competitiveness of renewable energy technologies, and to increase the supply of renewable energy in Australia. ARENA has approximately $2.5 billion in funding to: fund renewable energy projects support research and development activities support activities to capture and share knowledge. In addition to delivering the strategic priorities set by the government, ARENA is mandated to leverage its expertise in providing grant funding for renewable energy development on behalf of the Australian Government.

Australian Solar Institute
…PV and CSP technologies. The second round invested in pre-commercial PV and CSP technologies. The third round focused on CSP technologies.
In addition to these rounds, three funding rounds were conducted to assist Australian researchers collaborate with their US counterparts. A similar round was also run to facilitate collaboration between Australian and German researchers. ASI also established the Strategic Research Initiatives (SRI) which was designed to support solar PV and CSP technologies which were not yet commercially viable. In conjunction with ARENA, the Australia-US Institute for Advanced Photovoltaics and the Australian Solar Thermal Research Initiative were also funded. -

Australian Carbon Trust - Energy Efficiency Trust
Low Carbon Australia (formerly the Australian Carbon Trust) was announced by the Australian Government in May 2009. Low Carbon Australia was established to further support action on climate change by business.Low Carbon Australia manages the Energy Efficiency Trust initiative demonstrating innovative approaches to energy efficiency investment by business with the aim of showcasing and mainstreaming these approaches across the private sector. Australian National Low Emission Coal Research and Development initiative (ANCLER&D)
Founded in 2010, the Australian National Low Emission Coal Research and Development initiative supports low emission coal technologies (LECT), including carbon capture and storage, with over AUD 100 million invested. The initiatives support R&D projects through calls for proposals.
ANCLER & D is part of the National Low Emission Coal Initiative, and is jointly funded by government and industry through the COAL21 Fund. ANLEC R & D aims to address:

Australian Building Greenhouse Rating Scheme (ABGR) for offices
Launched in 1998, the Australian Building Greenhouse Rating (ABGR) scheme provided accredited assessments of the greenhouse intensity of office buildings by awarding a star rating on a scale of one to five. Five stars represented the most environmentally friendly and one star the least, with industry best practice generally obtaining a three-star rating. The ABGR helps benchmark a buildings greenhouse performance, and achieving a high score is considered a measure of the buildings quality; the Property Council of Australia includes environmental performance in its rating of building quality. Australian Biofuels Investment Readiness Program
The ABIR program was launched in response to an Advanced Biofuels Study conducted in 2011. The program is supporting pre-commercial projects in Australia that will produce high energy renewable fuels that can be ‘dropped-in’ to existing infrastructure. The ABIR program is closed and no further assessments under this program will be undertaken.

Australian Fuel Security and Resilience package
The Australian Fuel Security and Resilience package was introduced to ensure energy sovereignty and protect Australia's energy interests. The package will provide more than $10 billion to secure Australia’s near-term fuel and fertiliser security, establish a permanent Government-owned Australian Fuel Security Reserve of around a billion litres, and lift the Minimum Stockholding Obligation by around 10 days for every type of fuel.
