Guiding opinion to accelerate the promotion and deployment of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs)

This guiding opinion serves as an implementation guidance for the State Council's "Development Plan for Energy Saving and New Energy Vehicle Industry (2012 - 2020)". The aim is to accelerate the deployment of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) which comprise pure electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles and fuel cell vehicles through a range of government- and market-led support programmes.

                Key pillars include:

Accelerating the construction of charging facilities through development of technical standards, improving urban planning and land use policy for charging facilities, advancing charging technologies etc.
Guiding enterprises to innovate business models especially with regards to establishing effective…

Chapter 5 presents the energy saving investment potential for various demand sectors in India by
the year 2031. The chapter also explores current EE financing landscape across the world and
suggests best suited schemes for Indian EE market.

Chapter 6 assesses India’s NDC target emissions in absolute terms, calculates the achieved
emission intensity reduction targets by 2030 and estimates the potential contribution of energy
efficiency in emissions intensity reduction. It also provides a commentary on global progress made in
                achieving emission reduction commitments.

Fifty/fifty - incentive schemes for schools to save energy

In order to promote energy-conscious day-to-day behaviour, some German federal states, cities and municipalities have implemented special incentive programmes such as “Fifty/fifty" in schools. The incentive of Fifty/fifty is that each participant school receives 50 % of the energy costs saved by means of conscious user behaviour for its own free use. The aim is to save electricity and heat by means of simple and practicable energy-saving measures.

The approach has since been adopted by other EU Member States.

These gestures are such as regulating, for example, the temperature of the air conditioning or heating, when driving our vehicles efficiently or opting for public transport, or by using moderately hot water, providing simple tips for achieving this end…
