Belgian Energy Transition Fund
The Belgian Energy Transition Fund aims to support research, development, and innovation in the energy sector, focusing on federal energy competencies. It is organized into three thematic areas: Renewable energy sources in the Belgian exclusive economic zone in the North Sea and biofuels, Applications of nuclear energy and Security of supply and balance of the transport network. Approximately USD 25 million of calls focused on marine renewables, including offshore grids and flexibility in the power system. Projects are eligible for up to USD 5 million and higher cost shares are offered for lower TRL levels.
