National Hydrogen Strategy
The Advancing Hydrogen Fund announced its National Hydrogen Strategy, using existing Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) funds to provide up to AUD 300 million for the growth of a clean, innovative, safe and competitive Australian hydrogen industry. In line with the CEFC Act, projects seeking CEFC finance through the Advancing Hydrogen Fund are required to be commercial, draw on renewable energy, energy efficiency and/or low emissions technologies and contribute to emissions reduction. Dumping Commodity Register
The Dumping Commodity Register (DCR) lists all goods, and the corresponding countries of export, subject to measures by the Anti-Dumping Commission. The Anti-Dumping Commission is an arm of the Australian Department of Industry, Science and Resources tasked with investigating claims that dumping or subsidized imports have harmed Australian industry. Electric vehicle public transport trials
Driverless electric shuttles will be used at Adelaide Airport in a trial for moving passengers between the main terminal and the long-term car park.
The South Australian Government said it would be one of three driverless car technology trials backed by its $10 million future mobility lab fund.
Two other grants will let Flinders University test out public transport shuttles and cargo deliveries at its Tonsley campus in Adelaide's south. -

Renewable Energy Equity Fund
The Renewable Energy Equity Fund (REEF) provided venture capital and managerial advice for small, innovative companies developing renewable energy technologies. The former Australian Centre for Renewable Energy within the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism had policy responsibility for the program while AusIndustry administered program delivery. The Commonwealth allocated AUD 17.7 million, which was matched by private equity on a 2:1 basis, amounting to a total of AUD 26.6 million over ten years of the program. The identification and management of investments has been undertaken by an independent fund manager. The program is closed.

Mandatory Renewable Energy Target (MRET)
The Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000 sets the framework for the Mandatory Renewable Energy Target (MRET). The governments renewable energy target seeks to raise the contribution of renewable energy sources in Australias electricity mix by 9 500 GWh per year by 2010 and maintain this requirement until 2020. Windows Energy Rating Scheme (WERS) and Technical Guide
The Window Energy Rating Scheme (WERS) provides a scientifically based, fair and credible rating system for the assessment of fenestration products for their energy efficiency performance. WERS is accredited by the Australian Fenestration Rating Council (AFRC) and adheres to AFRC protocols and procedures for the rating of windows and glazed doors. Energy Ratings provided by WERS are third party certified to the AFRC requirements, compliant with the National Construction Code (NCC), and able to be used to meet regulatory requirements.

Green Vouchers for Schools
The Green Vouchers for Schools programme was announced by the federal government on 17 July 2007. The programme offers grants of up to AU$50,000 to Australian primary and secondary schools to for the installation of rainwater tanks and/or solar hot water systems.
