                UAE-Turkiye Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement

                In March, 2023, Turkiye and the United Arab Emirates signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) to enhance trade and investments between the two countries.                 The Free Trade Agreement between Chile and Türkiye entered into force on March 1, 2011.The Agreement has been undergoing a modernization process since 2016, which aims at expanding its preferential terms beyond the trade in goods. The Agreement provides for the elimination of border tariff for the following products, among others : agglomerated and reduced iron;alumina, scrap metal, ammonia, crude steel, aluminium; solar PV modules, solar cells, solar wafers, polysilicon; battery packs, battery cells; anodes, cathodes and electrolysers; heat pumps; electric vehicles and ICE cars.Rules of origin apply.
