Türkiye’s Critical and Strategic Minerals List
In 2025, Türkiye published its first comprehensive Critical and Strategic Minerals List through the Critical and Strategic Minerals Report, prepared by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. The report categorises minerals into five groups: Highly Critical, Significantly Critical, Potentially Critical, Strategic, and Critical. Türkiye Hydrogen Technologies Strategy and Roadmap
The roadmap identifies the needs for the development of hydrogen technologies in Türkiye, offers technological and supportive solutions, and includes quantitative targets for reducing green hydrogen production costs and developing installed electrolyzer capacity.Target to install 2 GW of electrolysers by 2030, 5 GW by 2035 and 70 GW by 2053. Support for demonstration projects for “blue” hydrogen production.

Turkiye's Power Grid Investments by 2030
In March 2023, Turkiye announced its plan to invest $10 billion to build a green grid by 2030. The ministry illuminated the necessity of the grid's upgrades to accommodate the different clean energy installations. This includes a plan to increase the installed electricity capacity to 190 GW, of which 60 GW will be renewable energy, by 2035. The ministry is in discussion with World Bank for their support on the scale-up plan with financial and technical assistance and in partnership with the ministry and key private sector.

Turkiye's Energy Efficiency Investments by 2030
ASs part of the 2030 Energy Efficiency Strategy and Action Plan, the government of Turkiye is earmarking funding for energy efficiency schemes. Grants of up to 21.6 million lira (approximately $610,000) are available to cover the upfront cost of advanced insulation, energy-efficient lighting, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

The Georgia - Türkiye Free Trade Agreement aims to foster economic and trade relations between the two countries by eliminating tariffs and other trade barriers.
