Subsidy scheme for energy intensive companies to cover electricity prices' rise
The Ministry of Economy of Slovakia allocated EUR 40 million in compensation to energy intensive companies having a yearly consumption over 1 GWh of in several industries such as metallurgy, steel, cement, chemicals, cellulose. The goal is to partially cover their final electricity bill through compensation of the renewable energy support component of electricity tariffs in 2022.

Subsidy for LPG stoves and services
To support a clean energy transition in Colombia, the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Colombia provides subsidies for the purchase of LPG-fuelled stoves and the construction of the LPG cylinders to Colombian families in La Guajira, Cauca, Córdoba and Arauca. It is expected to benefit 100,000 households as part of the country’s energy transition with a subsidy of the 70% of the virtual LPG connection cost and up to 50% of the consumption of LPG in cylinders.

Subsidy scheme for energy savings in public buildings
The measure supports a subsidy scheme of DKK 315 million, which is a targeted energy savings in public buildings. The subsidy will focus on energy renovations in regional and municipal buildings with the lowest energy performance certificate standards (D-G) as well as buildings that are heated by oil burners and gas furnaces. It is estimated that the effort can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 0.004 Mt CO2e in 2025 and 2030.

In line with the Special Measures Law for Promoting the Use of New Energy, METI provides subsidies for R & D projects that will contribute to the diffusion of new and renewable enrgy. The budget amount of R & D project for new and renewable energy (incluing fuel cells) is 34.8 billion yen in FY2013. R & D projects funded cover various types of new and renewable energy sources in a variety of sectors (electricity, heat, transport).
