Support scheme- Appliance upgrade
Since 2023, the government of Chinese Taipei is implementing a NT$3000 subsidy for households upgrading air conditioning and refrigerators to tier 1 efficiency standards. In 2024, gas boiler upgrades were incorporated into the scheme.

Electric Motorcycles Incentive Program
In 2023, the government of Chinese Taipei introduced a NT$60,000 subsidy to incentivise new electric motorcycle purchase. An additional subsidy of NT$50,000 is provided for the purchase of related equipment.

Grid Resilience Enhancement Construction Plan
In 2022, Taipower launched the Grid Resilience Enhancement Construction Plan, a 10-year investment programme to strengthen Chinese Taipei's electricity network. The plan includes upgrades to the ultra-high-voltage grid, replacement of substations and distribution lines, and broader grid modernisation to improve reliability, resilience, and integration of cleaner electricity sources. The programme involves total planned investment of NT$564.5 billion over ten years.

Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of stainless steel cold-rolled flat products
In 2022, the European Union implemented countervailing duties on stainless steel cold-rolled flat products imports from India and Indonesia. The EU also implemented definitive anti-dumping duties on stainless steel cold-rolled flat products imports from Chinese Taipei, Türkiye and Vietnam in 2024.

Definitive Anti-Dumping Duties on imports of certain hot rolled stainless steel sheets and coils
In October 2020, the European Union implemented a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain hot rolled stainless steel sheets and coils originating in Indonesia, the People’s Republic of China and Chinese Taipei. The anti-dumping duty implemented on imports originating in Indonesia was extended to imports consigned from Turkiye in April 2023.

Definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of certain stainless steel tube and pipe butt-welding fittings
In 2017, the European Commission implemented definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of certain stainless steel tube and pipe butt-welding fittings (‘SSTPF’ or ‘fittings’), finished or not, originating from China and Chinese Taipei. The definitive anti-dumping duty was extended to imports consigned from Malaysia in March 2023.

Measures on Investment Permits for People of the Mainland Area
The amended Investment Permits for People of the Mainland Area (“MIPPM”) considers individuals, juristic persons, organizations, other institutions from Mainland and the companies they invest into in a third area ,which are engaging in investment behaviours in Chinese Taipei area. Such investments would have to comply to the requirements set forth by Chinese Taipei with its investment plans being assessed and approved by the authority.

Interim Provisions on the Traceability Management of Power Battery Recycling in New Energy Vehicles
…2018 to address the growing volume of power batteries reaching end-of-life as China's new energy vehicle sector expanded. The regulations cover the entire battery lifecycle, from manufacture through to recycling, and apply to all relevant stakeholders in the mainland Chinese market, as well as Hong Kong, Macau, and Chinese Taipei. The provisions mandate a standardised system for tracking batteries throughout their lifecycle. Vehicle manufacturers must establish recycling service networks and information systems to trace batteries.
