Resolution to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from aviation
This resolution follows the government's roadmap for fossil-free traffic. The objective is to reduce national emissions coming from domestic flights and international traffic departing from Finland by 15% from 2018 levels by 2030. An obligation to blend bio-based aviation fuels will be implemented and it is expected to start in 2023. The mandatory share of biofuels will be determined by autumn 2021. Victoria’s Climate Change Strategy is a roadmap to net-zero emissions and a climate resilient Victoria by 2050.
Under the Victorian Climate Change Act (2017), every five years the State Government of Victoria is required to publish a new strategy setting its interim targets for achieving the state's legislated long-term target of net zero emissions by 2050 and outlining how it will meet these targets.
