Implementation and application of the alternative heating technology "passive solar energy collection system" (Implementación y aplicación de la tecnología alternativa de calefacción “sistema pasivo de recolección de energía solar de forma indirecta”) Dec
Decree 019 of 2008 provided for the immediate construction of passive solar heating systems "Trombe Walls" by the government. "Trombe walls" are a building technique where heat collecting building materials are used in sun-facing façades and heat is then transferred to the dwelling through a passive ventilation system.
The construction took place in areas of extreme poverty above 3,500m of altitude, with a budget of USD 5.5 million (15.5 million peruvian Sols).
The Decree allowed for additional support from regional governments. -
