LAW no. 2019-1147 relating to energy and climate - coal phase-out

The French government promulgated in 2019 a law relating to energy and climate, setting in a legal framework key milestones and objectives to reach climate neutrality by 2050. 

This includes the shutdown of coal-fired power plants by January 1st, 2022.
