        National Energy Transition Plan to 2030

        The plan sets out objectives and specific targets to measure its energy transition by 2030. It includes: Not exceeding 349 Mt CO2e throughout the economy, Reducing energy demand by at least 8% through energy efficiency, Surpassing 50% of electricity generation from renewable sources, Achieving a 2% increase in electric vehicles in the vehicle fleet, Reaching 1,000 MW of distributed renewable generation, and Expanding the electric transmission network by 5,000 km of new high-voltage lines.

        EUR 62 million for energy efficiency

        In June 2022, the Romanian Ministry of Economy launched a state aid scheme with a total allocation of EUR 62 million to support investments in modernisation and energy efficiency of industrial companies. Eligible beneficiaries can draw up to EUR 1.2 million per investment project in non-refundable grants.

        Promotion of renewable energy resources – biomethane

        The objective of the measure is to reduce the role of fossil energy resources by increasing the use of renewable energy (biomethane). Support will be provided for the construction of two biomethane injection points, including the construction of all necessary technical equipment for biomethane injection and the development of the injection site area. Project will be implemented bu JSC "Conexus Baltic Grid".

        Renewable energy auction with strike price guarantee

        The fifth national auction in Estonia managed by the electricity and gas system operator Elering should add additional 780 GWh of renewable energy generation by 2027. Maximum bid amount will be EUR 45/MWh, which will be a guaranteed strike price. Participants will get a maximum subsidy amount of EUR 20/MWh in case the electricity market price will be below the strike price.

        2030 Energy Strategy of Hungary

        Hungary’s Energy Strategy indicates that by 2030 country will reach approximately 20% of renewable energy share in primary energy demand. This is an indicative rather than binding target.
