The 3rd Basic Energy Plan (2019-2040)

The 3rd Basic Energy Plan establishes the national vision for "Sustainable Growth through Energy Transition and Improvement of Quality of Life". The plan is built on five core pillars:Consumption Innovation: Targets a 38% improvement in energy efficiency and an 18.6% reduction in total demand by 2040 through demand management in industry, buildings, and transport.Energy Mix Transition: Aims to increase the share of renewable energy to 30-35% by 2040 while drastically reducing coal power and gradually phasing out nuclear energy (by halting new construction and ending lifespan extensions).Decentralized Systems: Plans to increase the proportion of distributed…

                Impact Canada Cleantech Challenges

Between 2017 and 2025, Natural Resources Canada has invested $75M in six clean technology challenges under the Impact Canada initiative. These challenges were designed to address persistent barriers in cleantech development and adoption by setting ambitious but achievable goals to identify and develop breakthrough solutions. It attracted innovators to high-priority energy technology problems. The last energy challenge, which concluded in early 2025, was for advanced, rapidly deployable oil spill response solutions. An other challenge, the Women in Cleantech challenge can be found in our database

                Danish NECCS Fund

…in a continually greener Denmark under the Finance Act for 2022. The agreement introduced a new subsidy fund (the NECCS Fund) of DKK 2.5 billion, aiming to achieve negative emissions of an additional 0.5 million tonnes per year from 2025 onwards through CO2 capture. The fund will support the achievement of negative emissions from CO2 capture of biogenic sources and subsequent geological storage. Biogenic sources refer to CO2 capture from biogas upgrading, biomass-based power and heat production, the biogenic share of CO2 captured in waste incineration plants, as well as carbon captured directly from the atmosphere (DACCS).

Energy to Work - Hydrogen Roadmap

This Roadmap is a follow up of the National Hydrogen Strategy presented in June 2020. "The vision presented in the roadmap is that by 2050 a market for the production and use of hydrogen will have been established in Norway. In the short-term, the government will seek to facilitate, in collaboration with the private sector, the establishment of five hydrogen hubs in the area of maritime transportation by 2025. It will also, in collaboration with the private sector, strive for the establishment of one or two industrial projects with associated production facilities, as well as five to ten pilot…

Colombia's Short-Lived Climate Pollutants Strategy is part of the Climate and Clean Air Coalition's (CCAC) “Support for National Action Planning” initiative. This strategy identifies actions towards addressing short-lived climate pollutants (SLCP) and that should be addressed through the planning and implementation of domestic policies. As part of the actions to the mitigation of SLCP, the oil and gas and mining sector are included. Concrete actions are: 1.       To recover, use and oxidize methane from coal mines2.       To recover and use the gas and fugitive emissions during the production of oil and gas3.       To reduce the leaks…
