State Energy Policy
The new State Energy Policy approved by the Government in March 2004 has as one of its highest priorities the increased use of renewables and it sets measures to promote this aim. The State Energy Policy set targets of 15-16% contribution to TPES from renewables sources to be achieved by 2030 and 17% for the share of renewables in electricity consumption. The Policy envisions that biomass will play the most important role in the growth of renewables. EU - Ukraine Free Trade Agreement
The EU - Ukraine Free Trade Agreement aims to foster economic and trade relations between the two countries by eliminating tariffs and other trade barriers. The Agreement offers tariff elimination or reduction for most industrial goods across HS chapters 25 to 97 including, but not limited to: Electric generation equipment Mechanical equipment including pumps, appliances and other advanced machinery Electric motors, transformers, batteries and capacitors Motor vehicles Mineral ore and processed products including manganese, copper, aluminium, and nickel Various products manufactured using the above minerals and metals, such as sheets, powders, bars and plates Photovoltaic cells The Agreement also includes rules of origin and local content provisions. Energy Efficiency Strategy of the Slovak Republic
The Slovak Government by its Resolution No 576/2007 approved the Concept of Energy Efficiency for the Slovak Republic, prepared by the Ministry of Economy. The main goal of Energy Efficiency Concept is to identify the main trends in energy consumption, set priorities and oversee targets, analyse the existing state of, and potential and barriers for energy efficiency and define framework of energy efficiency measures to overcome the barriers.
