Programme for Rational and Efficient Use of Energy and Other Forms of Non-Conventional Energy (Resolution 180919)
The Indicative Action Plan 2010-2015 seeks to promote the rational and efficient use of energy and to encourage the participation of non-conventional forms of energy in the national grid and in non-connected regions.The RE (non-conventional energy sources - FNCE) related parts of the plan state the 2015 and 2020 targets for RE. The target for national grid-connected regions is 3.5% and 6.5% and for non-connected regions is 20% and 30% for 2015 and 2020 respectively.

2025 Progress Report on the 2030 Emissions Reduction Plan
Canada aims to reduce emissions by 40% to 45% below 2005 levels by 2030, with an interim goals of 20% below 2005 levels by 2026. In this progress report, Canada indicates with their emissions projections scenario that the country will reduce emissions by 21% below 2005 levels in the "with measures" scenario, and by 28% below 2005 levels in the "with additional measures" scenario.

New Federal Buildings Regulations
The Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) 2007 extended an existing federal energy reduction goal to 30% by fiscal year 2015; directed federal agencies to purchase Energy Star and Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP)-designated products; and required new federal buildings to be built 30% below ASHRAE standards or the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC).
