                Revised Green Growth Strategy

                The government originally unveiled the growth strategy in December 2020 as part of an action plan for 2050 carbon neutrality. The revised strategy targets to accelerate the country’s shift to EVs, develop carbon-neutral synthetic fuels, and switch to ammonia and hydrogen for fossil use

                It also aims to begin 30% co-burning of hydrogen at gas-fired power plants and mono-burning of hydrogen for power generation, as well as commence 20% co-burning of ammonia at coal-fired power plants

                …Research Center (GZR) was established in 2020 within the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology as a platform connecting domestic and international collective efforts in state-of-the-art research and development, particularly among researchers from the G20.                 Environmental and climate protection support scheme

                The scheme aims for carbon neutrality by 2050, with a 55% emission reduction by 2030. It offers subsidies for hydrogen vehicles, industrial equipment, production facilities, and networks to support a hydrogen economy and reduce emissions. CAPEX subsidies to acquire hydrogen vehicles (clean vehicles), hydrogen consuming equipment in industries (decarbonising processes), to set up hydrogen production capcity, and to build hydrogen networks
