        Singapore Green Plan 2030 - Electric Vehicle Roadmap

        Singapore has developed an EV roadmap under the Singapore Green Plan 2030 (SGP30) as an effort to phase out Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles by 2040.  The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will act within three areas: vehicle taxes and incentives, EV charger deployment, and regulations and standards, in order to promote EV use in Singapore.

        2021-27 Strategic Plan - Estonian Hydrogen Roadmap

        As part of the green transition planned under the EU 2021-27 funding, Estonia intends to develop a hydrogen roadmap to accelerate the introduction of renewable-based hydrogen as an energy carrier in the market, including for consumption.  The aim is to test complete hydrogen chains, from hydrogen production to its final consumption in Estonian conditions, within the framework of pilot projects until 2026.

        Victorian Government zero emissions vehicle roadmap

        The Victorian Government published its zero emissions vehicle roadmap, which aims for 50% of light vehicles sales to be zero emissions vehicles by 2030. The AUD 100 million package of policies and programs is designed to achieve the above target, including:- AUD 46 million for individual subsidies at the point of purchase- AUD 19 million to accelerate the roll-out of the charging infrastructure- AUD 20 million for zero emissions public transport buses- AUD 10 million to replace 400 vehicles of the Victorian government fleet with zero emission vehicles- AUD 5 million for a commercial sector zero emissions vehicle innovation…

        Ten milestones in 2021 - Hydrogen roadmap & Geothermal projects

        …regions, in three strategic axes: 1) Energy Transition, 2) Energy security and 3) Mining diversification and formalization.

         

        Among these objectives, one is to develop a hydrogen roadmap & the implementation of geothermal energy:

        - A hydrogen roadmap for the next decade will be made public in the first half of 2021, with the support of the Inter-American Development Bank;

        - Three geothermal pilots will be developed in the Eastern Plains.

         

        A new hydrogen roadmap from the Ministry is currently being presented for public consultation, including targets for 2030 (achieving an installed electrolysis capacity of 1GW), boosting hydrogen demand in vehicles etc…

        Next-Generation Energy Technologies for Connected and Automated On-Road Vehicles (NEXTCAR) program

        The U.S. Department of Energy announced $18 million in funding for four cutting-edge projects that will help passenger vehicles operate more efficiently, reduce energy consumption, and contribute to the Biden Administration’s goal of reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. This funding is part of Phase II of the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy’s (ARPA-E) Next-Generation Energy Technologies for Connected and Automated On-Road Vehicles (NEXTCAR) program.

        National Recovery and Resilience Plan / M3C1: Rail network and secure roads

        …approved at the European level on July 13, 2021, with a Council implementing decision, within the framework of "Mission 2: Green Revolution and Ecological Transition," includes component (M2C2), "Renewable Energy, Hydrogen, Network and Sustainable Mobility" with resources amounting to 23.78 billion euros. This component is further divided into five areas of intervention, including: area 4, concerning the development of a more sustainable local transport, which has a total expenditure forecast of 8.58 billion euros; area 3, related to hydrogen experimentation for road and rail transport and investment in electric buses, with a spending forecast of 830 million euros.

        National Recovery and Resiliency Plan/ Hydrogen experimentation for road and railway transport

        The measure aims to convert non-electrified railway lines with high passenger traffic and a strong use of diesel trains to hydrogen, such as in Lombardy, Puglia, Sicily, Abruzzo, Calabria, Umbria and Basilicata. The most advanced projects, those in Valcamonica and Salento, involve the integrated testing of production, distribution and purchasing of H2 trains.

        National Plan for Recovery and Resilience - Component 3.3: Greening road transport

        Axis 3 of the Belgian National Plan for Recovery and Resilience targets mobility. Component 3.3. aims at greening road transport, with investments in electric buses and charging infrastructures. Tax incentives for developing zero-emission vehicle company fleets and provisions for penalising emissions control fraud are also planned. A public budget of EUR 432 million EUR is allocated to this component.
