Building Code of Australia (Multi-Occupancy Buildings)
The National Construction Code (NCC) is an initiative of the Council of Australian Governments developed to incorporate all on-site construction requirements into a single code.
The NCC is produced and maintained by the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) on behalf of the Australian Government and each State and Territory government.

The 2006 amendment for residential buildings increased the range of options for complying with the requirements. On 30 June 2009 the Council of Australian Governments agreed to increase the stringency of the BCA energy efficiency requirements for both residential and commercial buildings.
