Expansion of heat networks
GBP 19 million government funding announced to supply low carbon heating for thousands of homes and buildings across the country setting up five new heat networks. Two will be in Bristol, and three will be across Liverpool, London and Worthing. The funding comes from the government's GBP 320 million Heat Networks Investment Project(HNIP).

Warm Front Scheme
The Warm Front scheme provided grants for packages of insulation and heating measures to vulnerable households in the private sector in England of up to GBP 3 500 (or GBP 6 000 where oil central heating or other alternative technologies are recommended). It was focused on citizens in receipt of certain income-related benefits. It ended in December 2012.

Stop Smog Program
The program is directed to people living in energy poverty and provides support for the replacement or elimination of heat sources and thermo-modernization in residential buildings. The applicant in the Program is a commune which obtains up to 70% co-financing of investment costs from the state budget. The program covers: replacement or elimination of high-carbon heat sources for low-carbon ones, thermomodernization of single-family residential buildings, connection to the heating or gas network.

Heat Network Efficiency Scheme
The Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES) provides funding to public, private and third sector applicants in England and Wales to support improvements to existing district heating or communal heating projects that are operating sub-optimally and resulting in poor outcomes for customers and operators.It is a £80 million grant support programme spanning years 2023-2024 to 2027-2028.
