The Act No. 314 / 2012 Coll. on Regular Inspections of Boilers, Heating Systems and Air-conditioning Systems as amended, define the procedures and set the intervals for regular inspection of boilers, one-off inspection of heating systems and inspection of air-conditioning systems. The Act also defines the professional expertise for those inspections. It implements the Directive 2010/31/EÚ (EPBD) aiming at the improvement of the energy efficiency of buildings. Operation of Building Infrastructure Systems
The project Operation of Building Infrastructure Systems of Energy 2000 promotes the practical optimisation of the operation of heating systems by encouraging all involved parties, from manufacturers to service engineers and on to janitors, to use the existing energy saving potential of 10 to 15% through correct operation and maintenance. More than 2 500 janitors have received instructions. Energy 2000 check-ups for heating systems are available for private house owners.

Formerly known as the Clean Heat Grant, the Boiler Upgrade scheme is a grant of GBP 5000 for homeowners to replace fossil fuel boilers with heat pumps. The scheme was extended to the 2025 -2028 period, with grant value increased to GBP 7500.
