Local incentives - Road usage fees
Toll exemption on regional highways for electric vehicles if they are registered on the ecoviaT website.
Free tolls for electric vehicles are limited to the following highways:
C-16, from Sant Cugat del Vallès to Manresa (including the Vallvidrera tunnels);
C-32, both in the section of Maresme and in the Garraf-Baix Penedès;
and on the toll barriers of the C-33 in Mollet del Vallès. -

PIMA Transporte/ Renewal of Road Vehicles
The Plan to Promote the Environment (PIMA Transporte), approved on December 19, 2014 by the Council of Ministers on the proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment was intended to withdraw old heavy vehicles for the transport of goods and buses through scrapping. The current state of ageing of the professional heavy fleet for the transport of goods and passengers makes it recommendable to establish aid in order to withdraw the oldest vehicles. Market transformation road map for energy efficient equipment in the building sector
…Energy and Mines Minister’s Conference in August 2018 entitled Market transformation strategies for energy-using equipment in the building sector. Governments in collaboration with industry are focusing their collaborative efforts on supporting market transformation for residential windows, space heating and water heating since they offer significant opportunities to reduce energy use (over 35%) when next generation technologies are installed. The objective of this road map is to outline the key initiatives that provide solutions to the market barriers identified, as well as their respective timelines, roles and responsibilities for each stakeholder group, and indicators to track success over time.

National Energy Transition Roadmap
The Malaysian government unveiled the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) on 27 July 2023 to facilitate energy transition through the six main pillars - energy efficiency, renewable energy, hydrogen, bioenergy, green mobility and carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS). Phase 1 of the NETR has attracted RM25 billion of investments from public and private sector, with the government committing a total of RM2 billion in terms of seed funding.
