PIMA Transporte/ Renewal of Road Vehicles

The Plan to Promote the Environment (PIMA Transporte), approved on December 19, 2014 by the Council of Ministers on the proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment was intended to withdraw old heavy vehicles for the transport of goods and buses through scrapping. The current state of ageing of the professional heavy fleet for the transport of goods and passengers makes it recommendable to establish aid in order to withdraw the oldest vehicles. The withdrawal of the less efficient vehicles is considered to be one of the most efficient measures for the reduction of energy consumption. For…

Market transformation road map for energy efficient equipment in the building sector

…Energy and Mines Minister’s Conference in August 2018 entitled Market transformation strategies for energy-using equipment in the building sector. Governments in collaboration with industry are focusing their collaborative efforts on supporting market transformation for residential windows, space heating and water heating since they offer significant opportunities to reduce energy use (over 35%) when next generation technologies are installed. The objective of this road map is to outline the key initiatives that provide solutions to the market barriers identified, as well as their respective timelines, roles and responsibilities for each stakeholder group, and indicators to track success over time.

The CCUS R&D Roadmap is a strategic framework to help India achieve Net-Zero emissions by 2070. It serves as a core technological pillar for decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors like power, cement, and steel through real-world test beds. Implementation is bolstered by the ₹1 Lakh Crore RDI Scheme to accelerate private-sector-led innovation in industrial decarbonisation.
