Regional Codes for Energy Efficient Buildings
Between 1995 and 2004, 50 regions of the Russian Federation implemented their own building codes in accordance with federal building standards. Some local enforcement agencies offered incentives for exemplary performance, others mandated auditing. Regions established their own requirements for calculating a buildings energy consumption and compliance with local code.

Corporate income tax exemptions in Ukraine available for renewable energy sector
For the period until 1 January 2020 following corporate profit tax exemptions are available in Ukraine for the renewable energy sector:
production of electricity and/or heat from biofules;
sale of electricity generated from renewable energy sources;
sale of biofuels
production and reconstruction of power plants, vechicles and agrivultual machinery that use biofues.
reduction of 80% in the corporate profit tax for five years for the sale of equipment that operates on renewable energy sources and/or that is used for producing alternative fuels. -

Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency Increase Law (261)
This law encourages energy efficiency by setting standards for policy enforcement as well as regulations and guidelines for conservation and efficiency measures throughout Russia. Regulations include: Building Efficiency standards, energy audits, energy service contracts, mandatory energy consumption meters, and a call for information provision. Tax incentives and benefits are also provided for industry to replace inefficient equipment.
