…and Ica—with a combined electrolyzer capacity of 256 MW. While exports are expected to begin in 2040, domestic hydrogen demand is projected to grow from 7–23.6 ktpa in 2030 to 131–1167 ktpa by 2050. Cement will be the largest demand sector by 2050 (25%), followed by road transport (86 ktpa, ~20%) and mining. Around 50% of demand will be concentrated near Lima. Export demand is assumed to be four times higher than domestic demand. The levelized cost of hydrogen (LCOH) is projected to fall from USD 2/kg in 2030 to USD 1.2/kg by…

Renewable Energy Road Map - Renewable energies in the 21st century: building a more sustainable future
The Road Map sets out the Commissions long-term strategy for renewable energy in the European Union. The aim of this strategy is to enable the EU to meet the twin objectives of increasing security of energy supply and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. An assessment of the share of renewable energy in the energy mix and the progress made in the last 10 years shows that more and better use could be made of renewables. In accordance with Directive 2001/77/EC, all Member States have adopted national targets for the proportion of electricity consumption from renewable energy sources. If…

On-Road GHG Assessment Tools
On-Road GHG Assessment Tools support and encourage state and local governments to estimate future GHG emissions from the on-road portion of the transportation sector, plan future emissions scenarios and targets, and find strategies to mitigate these effects. Examples tools include EPA's MOtor Vehicle Emission Simulator (MOVES) tool and DOT/Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) Energy and Emissions Reduction Policy Analysis Tool (EERPAT).

National Road Network Energy Efficiency Strategy 2030
Tunnel and road lighting, ventilation systems, intelligent transportation systems, and other elements of the national road network in Spain represent an annual electricity consumption of nearly 150 GWh. The implementation of the strategy represents an estimated energy savings of over 50%. The measures include the modernization of lightning facilities by replacing them with LED luminaires and smart lighting systems, as well as the deployment of renewable energy for tunnels.

Green hydrogen roadmap
The roadmap outlines a vision for integrating renewable hydrogen in the national energy mix. The roadmap identifies 16 milestones across three phases (feasibility and demonstration in 2024-2027, deployment in 2028-2035, and expansion and integration in 2036-2050). Targets include 0.5-1 GW of electrolysis by 2027, 1.2-3 GW by 2028 and 3-6 GW by 2036. Investment needs for the across the three phases are USD 6.2-13.5 billion. Expected outcomes by 2050 include fossil fuel displacement in electricity production, 60% reduction in fertilizer imports and the creation of 27000-54000 jobs. The…
