Regulation No. 42/PMK.010/2022 concerning the Determination of Types of Motorized Vehicles Subject to Sales Tax on Luxury Goods
Regulation No. 42/PMK.010/2022 amends a former 2021 regulation to provide adjustments on the exemption of Luxury-Goods Sales Tax (LGST). Updated legislation easing fuel switching for heat supply companies
In order to moderate the impacts of the global energy crisis on domestic consumers, the Lithuanian government eased national legislation to enable centralized heat supply companies to replace gas with less expensive alternatives like fuel oil and diesel for the 2022/2023 heating season.

Alberta fuel tax relief
The Tax and Revenue Administration (TRA) announced in 2022 that the Government of Alberta will temporarily cease collection of fuel tax, including gasoline, diesel, biofuels, and heating fuel, to reduce the burden citizens experience from elevated fuel prices. Tax collection will not resume so long as West Texas Intermediate prices remain above USD 80 per barrel.

[2nd Package] Spring Statement 2022: Measures supporting households
In March 2022, the UK government implemented a series of additional measures meant to cushion domestic consumers from the effects of the global energy crisis, notably a temporary 12-month cut to duty on petrol and diesel of GBP 0.05 per litre, an extension of the VAT relief available for the installation of energy saving materials (ESMs), and an increase to the Household Support Fund.

2022 General Fuel Levy freeze & reduction
In order to cushion domestic consumers and the national economy from the effects of oil price rise, the South African government decided in February 2023 to freeze the general fuel levy on petrol and diesel.A month later, this support was enhanced with a temporary reduction in the general fuel levy of ZAR 1.50/ litre, enacted from April until the end of May 2022.

Temporary inclusion of transport fuels into the Peruvian Fuel Price Stabilization Fund
In an effort to stabilise domestic retail prices in the context of the global energy crisis, the Peruvian government decided in April 2022 to temporarily include a number of transport fuels (84 and 90 gasoline, 84 gasohol, Diesel 2 and LPG) in the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund to reduce the increase of prices. The inclusion, initially decided until the end of June, as later extended until the end of the year, and was followed by a recapitalisation of the fund in October 2022.

Fossil-fuel cars ban from 2030
Greece announced its first climate law outlining the bold energy reforms that focus on low-carbon energy including a ban on the sales of new fossil-fuel (gasoline and diesel) cars from 2030. The law would be adopted by the end of 2021 expectedly.
