Measures for the efficient use of energy - Room AC, Resistive heaters, Electric instantaneous heaters, Gas instantaneous boilers
This decree establishes that public entities and/or companies, in case of purchase or replacement of energy equipment, this must be replaced by the most efficient technology on the market at the time of purchase. For this purpose, the Ministry of Energy and Mines, by means of a Ministerial Resolution, establishes the guidelines and/or technical specifications of the most efficient technologies for energy equipment.
The energy equipment, following under the scope of this decree are the following: lamps, ballasts for fluorescent lamps, refrigeration appliances, boilers, asynchronous or induction three-phase electric motors with squirrel cage rotor, washing machines, dryers… -

Klimabonus programme
Applicable to projects initiated by the end of 2025, the "Klimabonus Wunnen" program aims at making buildings more energy efficient through simplified procedures for accessing aid to energy renovation projects that concern a single construction element of the thermal envelope. Additionally, a bonus is granted for the replacement of old fossil fuels based boilers by a heat pump, or a connection to a heating network, accompanied by a specific aid for the neutralization and recycling of the fuel oil tank.The programme was extended in 2026 to last until 2030.

Household heating subsidy
On 26 October 2021, the Spanish government implemented a new package of measures to protect vulnerable consumers from the global energy price crisis. Taken together, the subsidies represent an average support worth EUR 90 per beneficiary for household heating expenses. This includes an increase in the budgetary allocation to the thermal social bonus granted to vulnerable consumers, whose individual amount and corresponding budget were further increased in October 2022.

Danish Energy Agreement for 2012-2020 - ban on fossil-fuel based heating
The agreement establishes a framework for the policy on climate and energy up to 2020 and outlines the direction Denmark will take until 2050. This includes a ban over the installation of fossil-fuel based boilers in new buildings, from 1st January 2013 onwards.
